Three modules over three months, Back to Work is a specialized learning program for women who are returning to the labour market after an extended period of absence. Participants gain practical insights on business culture, hiring practices, leadership and career goal-setting to increase confidence and resiliency. Knowledge exchange with field experts in human resources and senior executives assist participants with resume and professional profiling, building supportive networks and other employer readiness scenarios.

Between Modules: Knowledge Exchange & Post-Program Peer Coaching Support
Modules are followed by two to three hours of program-related sessions with supporting organizations, including in-company group projects designed to exercise newly developed business skills. These opportunities enable participants to reconnect with the corporate workplace, get to know potential employers and speak to employees of the organizations. Dates and times will be announced early in the program. Attendees will also join peer-coaching groups to share their experiences, successes and to lend their support to fellow participants.

Who Should Attend
To participate in the Back to Work Program, candidates must have:
- 3+ years professional work experience
- Been absent from the paid workforce for 3–8 years
- Proven business acumen and relationship-building skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, self-starter with sound judgment and learning agility
- The ability to work independently with effect time management, and verbal and written communication skills

REGISTER NOWfor the Back to Work Program
Eligible applicants will be invited for a 20-minute telephone interview. Each application is reviewed by Rotman’s admissions committee to ensure suitability of participants. Admissions preference will be given to women with undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees and professional designations
Applicants are reviewed on a rolling admission basis. The application process will close once the program is full. If space is available and eligibility requirements are met, participants will receive a notice of admission within 10 days of receipt of their completed application and fee deposit.

A $500 deposit is required within two (2) weeks of receipt of offer. The balance is required 30 days after receipt of invoice or 30 days prior to the start of the Program, whichever is earliest.

Payments may be made online. Applicants will be directed to a secure online payment website after completing the form.
Partial scholarships are available on a needs basis. Those that wish to be considered for a needs based partial scholarship must be accepted into the Back to Work program and pay their $500 deposit. You will not be invited to complete a scholarship application without admission into the Back to Work program first. You will then be required to complete an application form and provide your most recent tax assessment. Please note that all scholarships are considered taxable income and as such you will also be required to provide your Social Insurance Number.
Scholarships will not be awarded after July 14, 2017. An interview is required prior to acceptance into the program therefore it is highly encouraged that you submit your application no later than July 3, 2017 in order to meet the scholarship application deadline. Scholarships and alumni discounts cannot be held simultaneously.
Rotman's Initiative for Women in Business participants and Rotman MBA / EMBA alumni are eligible for a 10% of discount. Scholarship winners cannot apply for the alumni discount.

Tax Information: Non-Work Related Training
If the Program is not being taken for employment reasons, any discounts are taxable benefits to the individual participant and should be included on the individual’s tax return.
