Bio

Scott Liao is Vice Dean, Undergraduate and Specialized Programs and Professor of Accounting at Rotman School of Management. His research interests include agency problems in debt markets, banking regulation, and economic consequences of financial reporting and disclosure. He has published papers in leading journals such as Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting ReviewContemporary Accounting Research and Management Science. He is an editor at Contemporary Accounting Research. His teaching is focused on financial accounting and data analytics and he has taught MBA, MMA, GEMBA, Commerce and Ph.D. courses. He also teaches in multiple executive programs.
