International Programs and Services

We're here to help

Rotman boasts one of the most international student bodies of any leading business school. We offer a range of services – from academic orientation to professional development – designed for students from outside Canada.

Pre-program sessions

All students are invited to attend sessions led by an English language professional who will address a variety of topics specifically targeted to international students.  Topics may include Effective Emails for the Canadian Workplace, Giving and Receiving Feedback: Canadian Style and Navigating the Canadian Workplace.

Communication and Quants Boot Camps

These programs are designed for students who may benefit from additional exposure to Business Writing and Communication in a North-American context, or who are joining Rotman without a business background. Our facilitators will work through examples of real in-program coursework and highlighting the most common mistakes made in the first year of the program, and review essential quantitative concepts in accounting, finance, statistics, and business math. Learn more about our signature Quants Boot Camp.

During the program

Strong communications skills are key to your success in the Rotman MBA program. The English Language and Writing Support offered at the School of Graduate Studies helps you to communicate sophisticated information to sophisticated audiences. All programs are free and are offered on a drop-in basis.

We also provide an in-house writing expert for all Rotman students to improve your writing and editing skills. The expert works one on one with students on deliverables and other pieces of writing work.

"Rotman has grown rapidly in the past decade and made strides in becoming a top global MBA program and it has clear momentum behind it. I am excited to be a part of that."

- James Webster, MBA student from London England, in an interview with Poets and Quants
