Rotman Design Challenges Tackles Financial Planning Question.

March 1, 2018

Toronto – This weekend 150 MBA and design students from 12 leading universities and colleges in Canada, the United States and Europe will participate in the annual Rotman Design Challenge (RDC), one of the largest student-run international design case competitions. Among the participating schools are Yale School of Management, Savannah College of Art and Design, Esade Business School, Columbia Business School, and the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley.

Teams will tackle a question posed by CIBC, the challenge sponsor and a leading Canadian-based global financial institution on how can CIBC become a leader in financial planning for their clients by scaling beyond traditional channels, over the next 10 years.

During RDC, which will be held at the Rotman School on March 3rd and 4th, teams will also have the opportunity to participate in a LEGO Serious Play workshop, which teaches participants how to use tools in the design thinking process.
